My name is Joanna Vaughan, a native Cape Codder living in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. I'm a Social Media Consultant, a freelance photographer, wanderer, mountain climber, skier, and a nature fanatic. I love hiking and exploring with my boys, taking art classes, planning travel adventures, and testing out new recipes. My photography ranges from fine art to portrait and life.
Photography for me is more than just a creative outlet. It brings out the best in me. It's when I feel the most at ease and connected to the universe. It brings me back to my roots and validates my love for the beauty that surrounds me. I'm taken back to that magical place in my childhood that was in awe of everything I'd see. I can really identify with the simplicity and loneliness of the Cape Cod landscape as well. There’s something inside of me that’s drawn to it. I’ve always loved the sadness that a foggy day invokes, or the sound of the roaring ocean on a stormy day. I look forward to it, and it’s almost as if I’ve been here before.
